Joel Cranson - Director, Co-Producer

Award winning Director, Joel Cranson, brings his unique love of science fiction to PROBED. Cranson began work in film in 2003, when he wrote and starred in the now popular Star Wars fan-film, Spirits of the Force, which led him to direct two sequels; Fool's Errand and Reflections of Evil. Soon Joel was off in other directions. His short film, The Guilty, was awarded 1st Place in the IFP Phoenix 36-hour film challenge 2008 along with an award for Best Overall Technical Elements. Another of his short films, Following Suit, took 1st Place in the IFP 24-hour film challenge 2009 and earned Cranson the award for Best Director. He participated as an actor in several other films including Silhouette (Winner of Best Film - Screen Wars Season Two), Brian Loves You (with "Cheers" actor George Wednt), Professor Hu Hires a Temp (as Temp Applicant), Appetite for Justice (1st Place Winner of the IFP 48-hour Film Challenge 2008), and has appeared nationally in the television commercial for Ultrsabers. He is now delighted to present PROBED to film festival audiences.
